South Seminole Christian Church and Metro Church join together as one body to serve Winter Springs, Oviedo and beyond.

WINTER SPRINGS, FL — METRO Church continues to grow and find new ways to serve the community by welcoming the members of South Seminole Christian Church as its newest members. The two churches have joined forces and will merge operations and members to enhance the opportunities to carry out the mission of “Reflecting Christ and Serving Others.”
“We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring the great legacy of service that South Seminole Christian has established in our community and in their international mission work for God’s Kingdom,” says METRO Senior Minister Dan Holland. “We knew that when we moved into our new facilities last year and brought our work to Winter Springs that God would provide new opportunities to serve His people and this is an incredible blessing.”
Members
of South Seminole voted unanimously in April to merge with METRO
and officially began attending and working at METRO on May 13th.
Following the final services in the South Seminole Church facilities,
more than 135 members embarked on a walk across the Seminole Trail
to meet up with members of METRO in a sign of solidarity and commitment
to a new expanded church family. Following the walk, the new church
family joined for a special praise and worship service in the METRO
Worship Center.
“We have appreciated the work METRO has done for quite some time and as we examined our resources and the opportunities to really expand our reach, METRO was the perfect partner in that endeavor,” explains South Seminole minister Keith Smith. “We just celebrated 30 years of service in this community and see this as an opportunity to do so much more with our blessings.”
