Our teen ministry program is a well-rounded program for students who have a desire to have Christ at the center of their lives.

- In the Sunday morning class we are studying about influencing our friends for Christ. Class begins at every week at 10:15am-11am at Metro Church in Suite 107.
- Wednesday night Bible class is a place for excellent Biblical discussion and exploring the relevance of Biblical principles in our everyday lives. We meet each week from 7pm-8pm at Metro Church in Suite 107.
- Defined is a group for young women who are actively seeking to know Jesus and translate His teachings into our lives. We are committed to being an encouraging and challenging group that focuses on strengthening faith and building confidence in Christ. We build community through creative worship, group prayer, Bible studies, service projects and monthly fellowships.

Our goal is to provide a place to develop godly friendships with other believers, to help us face the pressures and challenges of this world, and encourage each other to continue standing for Christ each day.

Support for home-schooling families.

Metro Church has a large number of home school families within its church body that believe home schooling children can be as challenging as it is rewarding. While true, each of us needs to stay connected to one another for encouragement and for information regarding the home school community. Metro’s members stay connected and inform one another, primarily, through an email distribution list. If you are interested in having your name on this list, please contact Leslie Albaugh. Our members home school using various means, curriculums, private schools, dual enrollment, part-time enrollment and through Florida’s Virtual School.
In Florida, there are two ways to home school your student: 1.) Through the county, or 2.) Through an “umbrella school” (private school). If you are interested in learning about home schooling through the county, call the Home Education office in your county for additional information. (Orange County — 407.317.3314 or Seminole County — 407.320.7850) There are several “umbrellas schools” in the Orlando area.
One of the “umbrella schools” in this area is Circle Christian School. Metro Church provides one of the many campuses for Circle Christian School on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Circle Christian School provides resources and tools to parents to assist them in their investments of character training and academic excellence. If you are interested in pursuing this option, please contact Circle Christian School at 407-740-8877 for more information. They register students only March through June.

Verve Theatre Arts Drama Ministry
The Verve drama ministry at Metro exists to amplify the drama of the human experience, as it relates to our common spiritual, physical, psychological, and social needs.
Professional caliber theater includes Sunday lesson dramas and full-length plays throughout the year. Needed are actors, artists, musicians, readers, mimes, speakers, comedians, carpenters, writers, costumers, and make-up and hair stylists.

"Verve" means energy, enthusiasm, and spirit, especially in the creative arts. Verve Drama was designed to "reclaim" the arts for God -- to show people that He is the Father of all creativity, and reflect that creativity to all. Our mission is to dramatize the human experience, as God interacts with it. Our theme scripture, printed at the top, is Jeremiah 20:9. That fire, or passion, expresses itself in a variety of ways in our lives, as we've learned to be more expressive onstage and off. Just as we stress the importance of losing ourselves to Christ onstage, we stress the importance of being Godly examples in our offstage lives. The flame of our logo represents that fire, that passion, and so our colors are red and black, as a flame. Our theme song is "Light the Fire."

The Light of Jesus Church in Almaty, Kazakhstan was planted in 2001 by the Green family. It is now led by national leaders and is a growing, vibrant church. They have struggled with laws in their country that prevents them from renting governmental buildings, so they are currently in a building program in which the goal is to raise $300k. We have raised $165k since March of 2007. The church building will be located on the Light House Property.

House for young people from 16 to 22 years of age
left without parental care
When Randy and Sandra Green moved to Almaty in June 2001, they soon became aware of the need for a teenage shelter to help the orphans of Kazakhstan. It was something that was on their hearts for a long time but they didn’t really know how or what to do. In December of 2001 a facility next to the church building became available for rent. When they saw it the very first time, both of them knew that this was a place that could be used for a teen shelter for the orphans living on the streets.
By faith, Randy and Sandra began to rent this facility. They sent out e mails to friends and relatives and churches asking for financial help to begin this ministry to the orphans of Almaty. From the very beginning the hand of God has been in the center of this ministry. People began to donate and send money to help the orphans.
By the grace of God we now have a home for orphan’s ages 16-22 years old. These are kids who are forced to leave the orphanages of Kazakhstan. Our desire is to provide a safe place for the children to live and to give them the opportunity to know Jesus as their personal Savior. We help them finish their education and try to teach them life skills that will provide an opportunity to succeed in life.

They also give free care to Christianville employees, missionaries, school children and poor from the area.
