" Each one
should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully
administering God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10
Each of these areas requires different
skills and expertise. Depending on your availability and skills,
you can set your own schedule from a weekly commitment to offering
your services to a once a year project. Click
on the name of the ministry to contact the ministry coordinator.
Technology
-- We work to support Metro ministries including ministers,
office staff, volunteers, financial, education, and the web
with network resources, internet connections, computers,
servers, and software services. We need people with technical
ability to assist as well as non-technical people to help with
organization. Equipment donations are appreciated. |
Marketing
-- Our team is looking for volunteers
who have a passion for videotaping, video editing, producing,
and marketing. We creatively publicize Metro events and programs
and seek to let the Oviedo community and entire Central Florida
area hear about the good works God is doing here. |
Office -- If you have a morning or afternoon available
each week, please consider serving in the office. Work is tailored
to your skills and interests from data entry or formatting and
design to handling phone calls or mailings. Or you might like
to come in once or twice a year to help collate our yearly directory
or help with a mailing for the School of the Good Samaritan.
|
| Website
-- Join our website team to help plan future use of our site
to best communicate information to both members and visitors
to the site. |
Grounds
-- We work to create a beautiful and safe campus. Workers
are needed to keep the landscaping areas free of weeds and
properly planted and blow the walkways. You might also like
to be part of the team planning a Memorial Prayer Garden.
|
Facility
-- Maintaining our building requires
continuous vigilance. Help is always needed repairing, painting,
and updating. A person who loves to organize and declutter is
needed to help organize our storage...and others are needed
to help keep the storage areas organized by checking them weekly. |
| Baptism
Supplies -- All you need is a washing machine and dryer
to keep our supplies of towels
and clothing (shorts and t-shirts) stocked and
ready for baptisms. After use, they should be collected, cleaned,
and returned to the storage area. |
Communion Preparation
-- The trays must be filled before each assembly. After the
last assembly, the trays must be cleaned. Also
supplies must be purchased. You can sign up for a one month
commitment and you can choose to either prepare or clean up.
|
Finances
-- Use your financial expertise to help
with budget planning, future expansion planning, maintaining
a list of assets, posting donations from sponsors for the School
of the Good Samaritan, or counting the Sunday contribution monies.
