educates over 600 students from pre-K to 6th grade. These are children who are too poor to go to public

Kazakhstan: Light of Jesus Church
The Light of Jesus Church
in Almaty Kazakhstan was planted in 2001 by the Green family. It is now led by national leaders and is a
growing, vibrant church. They have struggled with laws in their country that prevents them from renting
governmental buildings, so they are currently in a building program in which the goal is to raise $300k.
We have raised $165k since March of 2007. The church building will be located on the Light House Property.
Kazakhstan: The Light House for orphans
This is a
home for teenage orphans who leave the orphanages at the age of 16. In 2002 the Light of Jesus Church
began this ministry to give them a home and train them as a young adult to be able to provide for themselves.
The Light House is a 4500 sq. ft. house that is debt free
because of the generous giving of Christians from all around the world. We presently have nine teens living in
the light house with Sasha and Jenya Metso serving as house parents and also serve as ministers in the
church. There is always a constant need for financial support and prayer to run the ministry.
