Women: Study of Mark
Classroom #3

Judy Tillmann

Mark wanted us to understand that God isn’t just some unapproachable Being in the sky, but that He spent a grueling human life on this watery planet to make it possible for us to be with Him. He came to give us abundant life—here, now, forever. Mark’s gospel allows us, in a way, to spend time with Jesus, to walk with Him in the cities and to go where He goes. As we study this book, we dive deeper into Jesus’ life. This gospel ushers us into the life of our Savior, and it can transform our lives.

Proverbs
Classroom #5
Doug Brumbaugh

The book of Proverbs contains no unscientific statement or inaccurate observation. Proverbs is a book that is on a high moral plane. Most scholars say the book of Proverbs is a story about advice for a young man starting out in life. There is a proverb that will fit each individual and we can have a good time finding them.

Jeremy Kughn

Leadership and Self-Deception
the Commons

Dan Holland

What if I told you that most of your personal and organizational problems are a result of “self-deception?” The first time I read the book Leadership and Self-Deception I knew immediately that I had found a book that cuts across business and family. As I read I thought of the Golden Rule as taught by Jesus: “Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them” (The Message). In this series we will learn what self-deception is, how people get trapped in it, how it undermines personal achievement and organizational performance, and how to solve it. This class has required reading. You may pick up a copy of the book Leadership and Self-Deception in our bookstore– Cost: $15.00
